I there guys im new to this forum and whole buying/selling world of warcraft accounts.

Anyway, I have a 60 rogue and 60 priestess up for sale.

Anyway I got these 2 offers from different people on aim (whos english isent so great )saying that they will pay 500 dollars for each. That is a godly amount for 60. They also agreed to transferring the money through paypal first, and then I can hand over the accounts. They also state they are verified paypal users.

Is this a scam for sure? If so how do I know if its a scam or not.

One last thing, I got a guy with the screen name kyle2972 Oblivion_Service on these fourms, who says he "represents" a company, giving me more reasonable offers. I am just wondering is he a legit person?

Thank you all for your help.

this would be fine, as long as you secure the paypal funds to prevent chargebacks.

e.g.

1) only give him the account information or complete account information such as the last name only AFTER the paypal funds have been successfully placed in your bank.
2) verify the buyer's paypal account, get them to fax ID, verify address etc...
3) REQUEST the paypal money from them, place something along the lines of "my paying you WAIVE your buyer projections and you acknowledge that you have RECEIVE the item (VIRTUAL ITEM).
4) get them to show that it is their paypal account by getting them to email you using a ISP email (take down the IP address from the header) at match it to their paypal email - that way, you can forward the email to paypal dispute to prove that it was not a stolen paypal account.
5) finally, get them to open and close a dispute regarding your issue so they cannot file another.

then again, i am a paypal newb, so, maybe you could ask more experience members such as KCJ, SWEETDEALSMD etc... for help securing paypal funds etc...

good luck.

I'd like to add that selling to only individuals that have a good amount of positive feedback, with very little or no negative feedback. Take into consideration only their feedback and reputation on MarkeeDragon, eBay or PayPal accounts are many times stolen together.

Keep in mind that stolen PayPal accounts are usually verified, take the time to require a phone call (any objection to this means you dont want to do business with that person) and verifying the person is calling you from (AND MAKE THEM CALL YOU) the same general area as the address on their PayPal account (Google for "Reverse Phone Lookup" for info on how to find out the geographic location of the person calling you).

If it doesn't, refund the payment and recall your account immediately.

I also recommend selling the account when Blizzard is open so you can quickly recall the account in the case of a recalled or disputed payment.

Use good judgement.
