Hello, sorry if this is the wrong place to ask but this is my first time using this site and I just want to make sure if this situation is a red flag.

For the account I want to purchase, me and the seller both agreed to use the trade guardian.
They prefer Wise/Binance, I pushed for PayPal since it has the most rapport.
The seller informed me to do PayPal fnf with trade guardian. I said I'd rather do g&s, since technically, I'm purchasing goods. If something were to happen like if the transaction was not something I was promised (account gets recovered, or top up balance goes into the negative, for example), would the payment method matter, since trade guardian was used?

Edit: where the situation stalemated was at the discussion of fnf vs g&s. They claim that they can get scammed through g&s+trade guardian, and I claimed that I was scared to use fnf again after previously getting scammed that way.

Also, is there a way to build rep without having to buy or sell anything?

good/services is safter for the buyer as it gives them an easy option to dispute the payment.
Family/friends is safer for the seller, because the buyer can't dispute the payment.

Your a new member, with no feedback and not verified. If the seller is someone with good reputation, then I would recommend F/F. If the seller is also new, then g/s.
