Ok so about a month ago I traded my WoW account. Now I recieve news that the guy I traded with got that account banned. Theres nothing I can do about it since im not the original owner. Now even though I transfered the character he gave me off the account Im still worried that he might be able to get it back somehow, and even if he does i dont care because i play a Death knight now, but my concern here is that the new account I made will be banned also.

Can anyone confirm this for me? like i said i dont care if the rogue he gave me gets reversed on the transfer, but i just dont want my new account to get banned.

it is possible by simply calling in blizzard, recalling the original account.

then going to the transfer logs and records, indicating to blizzard that an unauthorized transfer has taken place.

now blizzard will lock BOTH accounts pending investigation - or until he can fax in a copy of his notarized ID.

seeing your DK is on the new account (sharing same last name as the original owner), technically with enough experience and patience, he can recall everything back from you.

read one of the linked guides in my sig "prevent unauthorized recall" to make this more of a hassle for him - hopefully discouraging him from doing so.
