Impersonation using Guest Account on Epicnpc?

So, my buyer got scammed by someone who's using a Guest Account on Epicnpc.

Is this a features or bug?
How can someone use a Guest account on Epicnpc with same username as me?

If possible, admin can help him WickedLust89
I already give a warning though that I don't do chat on discord in my thread.

He used a capital i (VeryMeion) instead of a lowercase L, which makes the name look the same.
Unfortunately this is something that happens very commonly. That's why we have warnings all over to trade with members directly and not go on discord or off-site.

I see, didn't the guy also change his username that often? I mean his avatar is B, not V.
And if he gets banned, the username can't be used anymore, right?

All guest accounts show this warning when using chat.

Guest Account - User is not fully registered

The scammer used an capital i to make it look like an L.

MeIon (this is an i not L) That's why it appears to look the same.

We have a username protection system to try to prevent this, but there are many ways for scammers to try to create similar names so it's hard to completely stop. However the warning should have been enough to alert the victim something was wrong.

That what I thought, there clearly said "Guest Account - User is not fully registered" and the avatar was different color + alphabet (B) and I already said "No Discord" in thread.

I hope with these explanation from admins are enough to clearing my name to buyer.
