Our image host provider is currently experiencing technical issues, so our image upload box isn't working properly. Until they resolve the issue, you won't be able to directly upload images here, but hopefully they'll have it resolved in a few hrs or faster.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank you for the heads up but I've also come across another issue!

As you could see the usernames from the recent posters are missing.

I also noticed that the usernames in alphabetic order (A to Z) are incorrect.

Our image host resolved the issue about an hour after my above post.

Usernames were removed from the forum category pages and homepage. It took too long for those pages to load and one of the causes was due to the usernames that loaded for the 'last post'. Showing the username of the last poster isn't a very useful information for those pages and I felt that since it caused a negative impact to load speed it would be better to just remove it.

The userlist at the bottom of the homepage was also changed to random instead of alphabetic, for the same reason. It slowed the page load slightly, but provided little to no benefit by being alphabetic, so I again chose page speed over functionality.

Over the next month we'll be doing many more optimizations to the site like these. Some features that are not critical or only slightly useful might be removed if they are determine to cause too much of a negative impact to page loading times.

Hmm okay, but I'll miss everything that has been removed now and I hope sometime in the future they will be added back. I've been used with these functions for a very long time.

Can also be resolved by using an "image" hoster with .png/.jpg/.gif at the end etc.

Could add our own image translator. It's easy enough to do, depends if you have the storage though.
