That article also explained a lot of phenomena I've seen:
-why rich people like Notch get depressed because they can already get pretty much whatever they want and have nothing to strive for
-why certain games with seasons like Path of Exile as well as MOBAs are so popular, because you start from nothing and become more powerful over time

That first point is very true, if you ever watched a lot of famous twitch streamers, a majority of them go through a long depression state, when they are making hundreds/thousands a day.

Maybe learn some coding from online free tutorials, if you find it interesting (you will know after you tried), you will be good at it and find jobs or do your own projects.
