I've had this auction running for a long time now:

I'm trying to use a safe and reasonable method for both sides but I can't get an actual sale completed.

Why is it that whenever I say to a buyer on MSN that I want to use a middleman (Slayerx), every deal I'm about to close explodes? I've had about 20 potential buyers and we settled for a price and payment method (Western Union) but then they ask for my login and password, and I say let's use a Middleman, and the buyers refuse.

Why would a legitimate buyer refuse to use a known middleman? Do people expect me to give them my login and password just because they made a promise to WU me afterwards? I can't bring myself to give my login to a complete stranger on MSN..

I don't see a way out of this.. Why do they refuse? Are they all scammers? or am I missing something??

You are a new user and therefore are a scammer magnet. I can just picture how 90% of your conversations go
-buyer agrees to EVERYTHING you say
-Agrees to WU, which with a unrepped/un twv user is a hard chance to make for most people
-but then when you want to use a middleman, they refuse.

A few issues i saw with your post:
-price was WAY to high, you have to realize that Wotlk comes out in 2 months and all tho that gear is nice, its somewhat useless now. But i do agree it should be worth somewhere in the 500-700s (Euros) strictly because of the amount of vanity items that come with it.
-Just a suggestion but next time use an in game screenshot, anyone can make a character on a private server and take a screenshot of the login.
-The post layout was somewhat hectic, but that comes with experience and isnt 100% important.

Also I dont see any reason you should have to pay for a middle man, there are plenty of legit users on here who will do it for free (myself, grego1234, animusilogic) just to name a few names

But all in all, the only reason i can think of for you not getting much attention on the forums is because of the price, I would suggest making a completely new post.

Thanks for the tips! I'll make a new post with your suggestions, and hopefully I'll get some better results.

If anyone has some other suggestions or corrections for mistakes that I'm doing I'd be happy to hear!

Im new to this trading stuff too, when you said u will use a middleman what do you do exactly?

a middleman takes the information / monies from both parties, verifies it and then exchanges it for a free on their end.

i am personally against this as it involves a third party and thus increases risk... moreover, if a user is out to scam you, a middleman will not be able to do much and may in fact complicate things.
