maybe your confused. changing emails first is not unsecure, as long as you know the info to your account (which you claim)

theres nothing you can do with just an email. if someone does an email change with you, and then tries to scam you, all you have to do is call blizzard and say that your the owner of the account and you would like the email changed.

theres reasons for both sides of this trade. normally, people dont want to change ANY info until they are sure they are getting what they want, so that if they decide otherwise, they dont have to call blizzard if the other trader is being uncooperative. that means waiting to change the email

the reason for doing emails first is that the person can make sure that you are willing to actually do the trade, and while it doesnt mean that you are for sure, its kind of a comfort thing, like a phone call. you can still get scammed, but you have at least some peace of mind
