i am worried about identity theft

all of these people are asking for scanned pictures, addresses, and phone numbers

(i am trying to sell a wow account)

i understand the phone thing.. and names..but are the pictures/addresses really necessary for a successful sale?

if anybody has any info id greatly appreciate it

Some people do want scanned images, it's just a security precaution on their part.

Where if someone recalls the account, it gets locked, or Blizzard somehow needs to see a piece of identity, the new account holder can send it in.

With anything in life you need to be cautious about who you share your private information with.

We require Photo IDs, Name, Address, Phone Number, and email addresses of every person we purchase accounts from, and we cross reference these things to make sure they are not lying about their identity. This is to ensure that we know who we are doing business with and that they are are who they claim to be, as people recalling accounts after they sell them is a huge problem in our industry.

It also ensures that if we buy your account we can send the ID to Blizzard should there ever be an issue with your account and have the account returned to our possession and get it back to the customer that purchased it from us.

ID Verification is one of the largest reasons that our accounts are as safe and secure as absolutely possible for our buyers.

However with that said don't just send your Photo ID to anyone unless they have extensive positive feedback.
