There is no way to confirm if a seller botted or hand-farmed their currency. Either way, the risk to being banned for participating in the currency market appears to be about the same.

In case of PayPal payment:
1) Your PayPal account MUST be verified.
2) The description of the payment should contain amount of the gold you are buying, name of the game and your ingame nick eg. 100g in Guild Wars 2. My nick is: Example.1234.
3) Before the trade, you are obligated to resend me an e-mail from your PayPal e-mail address when you receive a Payment Request to prove that you are the owner of the account.
4) When necessary I can ask to provide scan of ID card with photo of yourself, not edited if you want to hide some use a paper to cover it when you take the photo. This must match your PayPal name
Add me/message me before you make a Trade.
Otherwise you won't get your trade so please could you contact me in some way or other.
