So somebody just bought an account from me for $1000. I am new to this, and when I saw that the transaction was registered as "complete" in the paypal log I assumed it was safe to give him my information. Now he has filed a claim against me saying that he never authorized the money, and Paypal has taken it back from me. I am now out $1000 as well as my account, and Paypal has aided in the theft. I emailed them and they still havent responded yet. Furthermore, they have entirely locked down my Paypal account so I can't send or receive money! [censored] am i supposed to do... And contacting Blizz support is a joke! Please help!

My AIM is Charalzo Thanks!

The same happened to me, There really isnt anything you can do with paypal ( to my knowledge ) , Because it is virtual and he filled it as he never authorized the money. And blizzard support is the best you got at getting your account back. GL mate.

Wrong, you can ALWAYS file an unauthorized claim regardless.

You are talking about a dispute.

Well for one. You should have known it was too good to be true for a $1,000 WoW account.
2. If you're selling a virtual item. Unless 30-45 days has passed, or the buyer has opened and closed a dispute by "misunderstanding", the money CAN always, and more than likely WILL be recalled by the buyer.
That way he receives his money back within a weeks or so time, and your account.

MAKE SURE you DON'T allow the email change to occur, which gives him FULL RIGHTS to the account, until you've SECURED the money.

On another note. What you discribed is classic Paypal. Your account is officially screwed, and Paypal now has you marked as a scammer. You'll probably NEVER have your account unlocked, and 6 months from now, Paypal will tell you that they want to end the business relationship between you and them.
Which means whatever money you have on the account, they'll allow you to withdraw, but the accounts stays locked, with all your info, preventing you from creating another account, and overall, using Paypal entirely.

If you are the original owner, you can and will be able to recover your character(s) regardless of it being transferred off to another account or not.

1. Contact WoW Billing via telephone. Tell them that your account has been compromised and to have the e-mail/password reset.
2. If your characters are missing (e.g. transferred to another account), e-mail WoW Account Administration and say that you have had an unauthorized character transfer. WoWAA will launch an investigation and have the character restored.
