thanks! this was very helpful. as for recovery email/phone that seller had linked, should that be removed on his side before he sells it to me or I should remove it, or it doesn't matter?Hi,
I don't know if would be any help but this is an answer from one of my Trade Guardian transactions with @DOPEBOOST
GMAIL GUIDE BE SURE TO READ IT BEFORE MAKING ANY CHANGES TO THE GMAIL ACCOUNT.
1. I only recommend changing the account recovery phone number If you change something like the recovery email or password, Gmail may quickly disable the account.
2. also recommend that you log in with your phone and have the device connected to the Gmail account for more than 7 days same for u phone recovery.
Sometimes it happens that the password or recovery mail cannot be changed and it is because Gmail updated its security policies, if the seller had an old phone number linked for a long time, the number will be linked to the account and there is no way to remove it.
In order for you to receive the verification codes on your phone, please follow points 1 and 2.
The account is safe and the seller does not have access to the Gmail account (this was in my case, this rule doesn't apply in general)
Good evening,

Global ModeratorYes, to get full control of that item, he needs to unlink everything necessary before giving you the credentials. If you are unsure, I do recommend using our Trade Guardian services. Our TG will secure and help you with every step needed - https://www.epicnpc.com/threads/trade-guardian-know-how-and-every-steps-you-need-to-know.2050927/thanks! this was very helpful. as for recovery email/phone that seller had linked, should that be removed on his side before he sells it to me or I should remove it, or it doesn't matter?
Are we talking about a gaming account password or a Gmail password? I don't see a reason why you can't change your in-game account password but I guess it depends on the game. As for the email I would recommend waiting 7 days as DOPEBOOST mentioned. Also, I'd feel very uneasy to buy the account and not change the password since seller will still have access to it until I change it. but I guess there's a risk of getting gmail locked if I do that...
