Finding the scammer's I.P. address.

Hey, I've been looking on how to find people's I.P. addresses off of AIM and e-mails, but I just can't find out how.
If you know I would really appreciate help, and if you maybe walk me through on AIM and really help me understand I can give you $2 over paypal if you'd like.

Agreed. Besides finding a general location of where they might be, there's really not much you can do.

Unless of course you got into it with their ISP, which is very unlikely, costly and difficult.

Yah, I mean there's so many theories of people saying, "I'm I have your IP address, I'm going to hack you. It's ALL bc, and they're trying to scare you.

Well the only way to get a IP address anymore is try to send a file or picture to them (Direct connecting) But im pretty sure AIM fixed this awhile ago and now when you use AIM your on proxy's when you direct connect and your IP is masked.

But try sending a file and or photo

then going to Start > Run type CMD

After that wait till you ( Direct connect ) With them and then type Netstat and hit enter.

If you get lucky you can find their IP. But like stev said nothing you can really do with it but find out what state their from and who their ISP is.
