Feedback dispute: CarterNPC

CarterNPC left us a feedback claiming the account we sold him was recovered. A few things about this transaction:

The original transaction happened back in June. CarterNPC admitted to changing the email immediately after purchasing the account thus voiding any warranty on the account.

CarterNPC sent us a PM back in October claiming the account was recovered. We do not monitor our inbox here due to the amount of spam we get, so it was with the hundreds of unread messages.

The account was never reported recovered on our website's support ticket system which handles all these incidents.

The account was being sold here: https://www.epicnpc.com/threads/wts-diamond-4-all-champs-396-skins.1479662/#post-6437984

Now, since the email was changed we have no way of knowing if the original owner recovered the account. It was never reported properly to us, nor was any other attempt made to have us recover the account for him. Since he changed the email, we have no way of knowing whether this is a valid recovery or if he got scammed by whoever he sold the account to. Since we are unable to prove anything we can attempt to recover the account if he fills out a proper ticket on our website but we should not be on the line for a negative review since it cannot be proven if the account was actually recovered.

Hi yes, I did change the email to my own, as anyone would do with a leauge account or for any game account for that case, I did list the account for sale, but it never ended up selling, There's no feedback for the deal thread or anything, I did email, and reply to the email that did give me the account information, Ill gladly fill out a ticket for the account to get recovered so I could get it back, but the person who literally sold it to you is the one who recovered it, so we'd just be running into a circle.

First off, changing the email from the one that we provided you is probably the worst thing you can do. Let me explain.

We use an email provider that logs every email received, sent, and most importantly deleted. When we send you the account, we verify that the account is on the email we provided. If the account gets reported recalled down the road, we immediately ask you for the email so that we can investigate. If the account is no longer on the email with no email trail, then the account has been recovered and we have the evidence we need to take action against the original owner. If the account is no longer on the email and there is an email trail showing the email was manually changed, or there is logs of emails being deleted, then obviously you're trying to fake a recovery. While it is possible to delete emails, it is not possible to delete actions from the log, meaning we have concrete evidence of either a recovery, or a fake recovery. I'm not accusing you of that, but explaining how our system works and why we have that rule on our warranty stating that it is void if the email is changed.

Now in this case, it is simply your word against the original owner with no concrete evidence since the email was changed. We cannot take any action against the original owner simply based on someone's word. While the warranty is voided, that doesn't mean that we cannot help you. We can attempt a recovery ourselves but in order for us to do so, you need to fill out a proper support ticket on our website. As far as the feedback is concerned, I don't feel we should be responsible for a negative feedback when there is zero evidence of a recovery and the account was never reported to us correctly.

Well the thing about league accounts is, you can never be too sure who did what or what happened, except the original owner, I have reputation on this site, If i was a newbie sure I'd understand my word means nothing, but that's not the case here, i've been dealing with league accounts for 4+ years now, and so have you

I'm more then happy to fill it out, if you can provide me the link to do so, and I'm happy to find a way to resolve this, that's what where all here for, but right now im out a couple of hundred,

I can't seem to find the op.gg, figured the person changed the name on it

You could actually just go to the live chat and recover it as soon as tomorrow if you do have all the information and it is accurate, but once you do that, the OO will do the same account will either get banned , or he gets it back etc.

If you have any other questions for me I'll gladly answer them.

Unfortunately reputation means nothing in this case. Many highly repped users on this site have turned out to be scammers. This is not an accusation but rather a known fact. We make every decision in cases like this based upon facts, not reputation. This puts everyone on a level playing field.

What is important is the facts and there are no facts supporting your claim. The only concrete fact we have here is that you changed the email meaning we have no way of CONFIRMING that anything happened. Any claims made by yourself in this situation have no substance as you are not able to provide any proof. That is why we have a 100% proven system in place that removes all of this hearsay and provides solid facts. We built our business around this system that we can confirm who is at fault and take appropriate action. This protects both buyers and sellers from false claims and allows us to properly protect both parties You chose to give up any and all protection that we offer for free by changing the email.

Now with that said, you can fill out a support ticket at https://www.accountwarehouse.com/support and we will assist with attempting a recovery. We can't guarantee anything since we have nothing to pin this on the original owner but we should be able to perform a recovery for you.

Account was recovered back and currently in, feedback can be changed/edited to a positive or removed.

Edit: Account was suspended today due to chargebacks made on the account, not sure where to move forward from here/

League of Legends Dispute Rules

The following guidelines were added on July 6th, 2013 for any disputes regarding League of Legends accounts.

Please be aware LoL are high risk and there is nearly no way for the buyer or seller to prove who took an account when one is recalled. Because of this we are implementing these new rules when a dispute is reported.

1) If a recall claim is made by the buyer and no proof is provided by either party (as nearly all LoL recalls are), the seller will have to either provide a refund or 2nd account.
If the seller refuses, the buyer can give a negative feedback.
If the seller has good feedback (10+), but receives too many complaints (5+) in a short period of time they will be banned.
If the seller has under 10 feedback, they will be banned after 2 negative feedbacks.

2) If the second account is recalled, it will not have any standings in the dispute. The dispute will remain resolved and closed.
The seller can give a 3rd, 4th or 5th account, however in terms of dispute resolution, I will consider the dispute fully resolved after a 2nd account or refund is given.

3) There will be nearly no restrictions on neutral feedback for anyone buying, selling, trading League of Legends accounts.
The only restriction will be if a refund was given after the 1st account was recalled. If a refund was issued, no negative/neutral feedback can be given to the seller.
The buyer can still receive a neutral feedback if the seller believes they are lying about the recall.
Negative feedback can only be given to the seller if there is proof the OO or seller recalled, or the seller sold a stolen account. The buyer can only be given a negative if there is proof they are lying about the recall.
When there is no proof only neutral feedback can be given.
The only time a feedback will be removed is if the trade or sale never actually happened.

Evidence was received that the OO recovered the account for CarterNPC and returned it to him, which he confirmed above.

@CarterNPC you'll need to provide me with some information about the payments that were disputed.

You lost the account from Nov 14-22, are the payments that are being reversed made during this time? Can't you explain to Riot that your account was hacked and you didn't make these purchases?

Feedback changed from neg to neutral.
