Feedback and User Title Update

We made a few minor changes today in regards to how we display feedback, orders and the user title.

  • User titles have been removed from sale threads. Many user titles were 2 or 3 lines which looked messy and took away from the more important information.
    • User titles continue to display on the profile popup box and main profile page.
  • On the main user profile page in the feedback sidebar (right side), we simplified the data that displays. Most of it was confusing or not useful, so we replaced it with the following.

    Screenshot 2024-04-29 161549.png
  • In the user profile popup box and main profile page we are changing the feedback stats.
    • Old
      Feedback (100%) : 391

      New
      Orders (Feedback) : 491 (391)

------------------------
The number of confirmed orders is an important stat as there as some members that are gaming the feedback system. Moving forward we will be focusing on displaying confirmed orders and their feedbacks over non-confirmed feedbacks.

It shows 2 different numbers when you check on your profile. Guessing that’s not as intended?

Also not sure what the point of this is. Fake feedback is not that hard to detect. It’s convenient for Moderators, but not sure why this needs to be displayed this way to regular members. If it’s as a warning that someone’s feedback is mostly/all via non TG and so might be a scammer, then that’s just punishing members that don’t use TG (often) & telling people their feedback is useless.

If TG free also counts towards orders (which I would presume it does), then I also don’t see how this prevents scammers from faking feedback. If anything, this would just make such users seem even more trustworthy since it’s very easy to inflate that order number that way compared to regular members. And if it doesn’t include TG free then it’s just forcing members to use a paid service to get proper feedback, which is just as bad.

It is abit confusing. No consistency in these feedback numbers.

That is intended. One number is orders and the other is feedback.

Orders were underrepresented compared to feedback. We're trying to even them out by displaying orders in more areas.

Confirmed Trade Guardian orders are of a higher quality of feedback compared to feedback where transactions were completed off-site. We have zero information about those transactions, if they even occurred, so those types of feedbacks should not be worth more than confirmed orders via TG.

Yes, TG free does count. We do have checks for fake feedback, however we perform multiple additional security checks in the background during all TG transaction so it is not the same as exchanging feedback alone. Feedback obtained from TG should be worth more than other feedback.

Thank you. We'll have that corrected shortly.

From what I understand old feedback still counts as TG, correct me if I am wrong

Trade Guardian Orders refers to the amount of transactions you completed in TG plus your feedback score from Oct 21, 2022, which is the date we added "Orders".
https://www.epicnpc.com/threads/feedback-stats-update.2346886/

After Oct 21, 2022 orders only increases if you complete a TG transaction.

When we introduced the "Orders" stat we didn't want everyone to have zero orders as that would cause too big of a negative impact. We took the member's current feedback count on Oct 21, 2022, added their TG transactions, and that became their initial order count.

On Oct 21, 2022, if you had 24 feedback and 5 TG transactions you would have 29 Orders. After that the order count only increases if you use Trade Guardian.

Looks a bit weird without user titles. That's always been an integral part of every forum.

Instead of removing just add a length limit and make it alphanumeric. @EpicNPC

Was referring to the same thing Misti mentioned, but it has already been addressed now.

I wouldn’t argue against that, but the way it is represented right now, it seems more important than feedback when in reality, it should give additional info regarding the feedback a user has built up. If you click on someone’s profile now, it will show the orders & feedback behind it.

I’d say it seems more logical to put feedback first & orders behind it. That way large discrepancies are still visible & the order numbers are not underrepresented. Especially since orders are supposed to be a specific type of feedback, not the other way around, so this just looks off in general.

Can you add server (Global/Europe/NA/SEA) to the thread infos here

also i think its better to show Negatif Feddbacks here you can remove total feedbacks and instead write
Positif Feedback and Negatif Feedback or just add them without removing the total feedback
so that the buyers can easily see if any seller had any negatif feedbacks or no since the total feedback count both negatif and positif
