Error when I check "Location Info"

I've been getting this - "Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_internal_encoding() in /home/epic9f/public_html/geoip/geoipcity.inc on line 130" for the past few days. I believe it started around the last big DDOS.

Sorry if there is already some info regarding this on the site, but I couldn't find it. Perhaps I'm blind.
Anyway was hoping if I can get some info on the matter, cause I love this feature of the site.

Yes, we're aware of the issue and it will be fixed within 48 hrs.

This will be delayed due to a DDOS attack against our server. The fix for this requires a server update and restart and while it's being attacked we don't want to do anything like this. Once the attack is over, we'll wait 48 hrs, then if everything is okay, the update will be made.
