Six new items were added to the store today all which allow members to add enhancements to their threads such as bold, italic, underline and even color change.

The upgrades affect ALL threads for a member, so they are priced high as the goal is to only have a small amount of people using them. You can view the store here: http://www.epicnpc.com/vbshop.php

This Text Isn't Standard Color!

Are you refering to the actual TITLE of the thread (Subject)

Thank you for clarifying that epic.... the whole "look at the examples" wasn't cutting it lol

It was reported today that Thread Enhancement items were not combineable, meaning you couldn't use Bold and Green at the same time. So I've added more items to the store for every color/combination there is.

I also added a buyback option for the minor thread enhancements, bold, italic and underlined. This way if you want to upgrade later to a colored enhancement, you can sell back you item for most of the cost.

A new Thread Item Removal item has been added to the store. This allows someone to completely remove a Thread Color category from the store permanently so that if they purchased a color for themselves, it would be unique allowing no one else to use that same color. This item is only available in the cash store.

Buyback prices have been added for all Thread Enhancements. The intention of this is to allow people to change colors if they need to. The buyback price is set to about 90% of what the original price was.

Also a new color was added today Pinkish/Red, which I think might be the last one for a while. I tried a few other colors in photoshop, but if all the colors are on the same page it becomes too much.

The Pinkish/Red color has been temp removed as Mysteriaa contacted me to say she'll be purchasing that color along with the color removal item and doesn't want anyone else getting it before she's able to buy it. Will put on hold for 24 hrs.

Is it correct, 125$ to remove the color so that others cannot use? Seems REALLY steep in pricing to me.

Well having your own unique thread color no one else can have it a pretty big enhancement. The goal isn't to make each color unique to just 1 member, but if someone really wants it and wants to be unique the option is there for them to do that.

Completely agree. But when you speak in terms of price. Each thread color costs something like 25$ and then to secure it forever and it be only your color its 125$. It's of course in the end just my opinion as I cannot justify spending 125$ just so I'll be the only person with "fantastic fusha" threads. :D

Also, in regards to this, Chance on adding an "GOLD" thread color?

Micro transactions will make you WAY more money in the long run, Big over priced perks will only get purchased by people like mods and resellers.
If your goal is to make some more money, micro trans are the way to go, If your goal is to provide overpriced perks that only cater to a specific niche of users, carry on ^^

Mods? Hardly. Resellers? I agree. It's an investment for them as they're gaining better exposure... attention rather.

If the target audience are the resellers, then the large perks will serve about the same purpose. Buying a specific color removal = 5-6 purchases of a color. Sum that up with the original purchase, that's about 7 micro transactions complete. Now, take into account the different colours. Let's say we have 4 colours. That's 28 micro transactions complete. Are there 28 resellers on this forum that are willing to purchase the colours? Remember, everytime purchases a colour it becomes less exclusive as well. What differentiates them from the others?

Having 4 'exclusive perks' aka colour removal would be easier to market than 28 micro transactions considering the target market. If the target market consists of 30 people, and with diminishing returns from each of them having it, I think the 'expensive exclusive perks' would market better.

I feel that you'll be right if there weren't the other factors such as diminishing returns.

As for me, it's the same reason why I would prefer a Birkin over a Louis Vuitton/Chanel bag haha... Which is why I purchased the purple thread title and the removal of it so no one else can use it, I love being exclusive :D Even though I don't even sell things(barely create threads), I just love the aesthetics of things to look pretty :) Nothing to do with being a Moderator, I remember I was just about the first person to purchase all the Username and Usertitle perks when I wasn't a Moderator.

Of course, I may be wrong, but that's how I learnt it from my hubby, he studied economics(thesis on behavioural economics), business and finance... well property investments these days.

On the bright side, the colour may annoy MJ. I should buy the text shade of pink for all the resellers and gold sellers on the forums :D. Matches my gown as well ^_^

Annoying MJ may just be worth it lol.

I'm always looking at things in terms of overall profit :)

There's plenty of items for forum members to buy that are cheap, but yes the Thread Color enhancements were targeted at Pro Sellers to help their threads stand out. Not every update to the store will be for everyone, this round wasn't, but the next round most likely will.

If anyone has suggestions on perks or items they would like to see added, feel free to suggest them to me.

I dont get the credit system at this point. To edit our threads cost 3 credits, but to post a thread we get 1. So instead of me editing my threads everytime i need to update it, from now on i will clutter the forums with new threads just to avoid the credits being spent. Is there a way to take down the cost of editting and raise the reward for a new post?

Editing costs 0 credits. The way the system work is that when you edit, you lose 3 credits, but also gain 3, so it zero's out. Creating a new thread is 3 credits, not 1. Posts are 1 credit and the same thing happens when you edit those. You lost 1 credit but also gain 1, so it zeros out.

If you check the Credit page after you edit something, you'll see both a Spent and Earned transaction so you can see it zeros out.
