Epic 7 Accounts: How to avoid being scammed

As I have seen some stolen/copied threads here and other similar sites and got scammed myself back when I was new to EpicNPC, I decided to give some advice to new/unexperienced members on what to look out for, when you want to buy an account.

I will split this into 3 parts:

1. Information you can get about the seller BEFORE you even contact him/her.

On your desired thread you can see the number of positive feedback for the member you want to buy from right under their name on the left of the screen.
Here are some examples of how this could display:

New member:

You want to buy an account from a person that has not recieved any positive feedback yet.
This is highly risky for you, especially if an expensive account is offered, because you can lose a lot of money if the person you are dealing with is a scammer.
Of course not everyone with no positive feedback yet is a scammer, everyone starts as a new member here, so you can run into an honest person as well.

Solution to minimize your risk: Use a trusted middleman!
You can find the middleman service (trade guardian) at the top of the page.

After clicking on "New transaction" just follow the process, it's easy to do.
The fee for a middleman is 4,95$ + 6% of the price of the account you want to buy. It's always a safe option to use a middleman if you are not 100% sure about the seller. Normally the buyer pays the fee.
Middleman transactions will ALWAYS happen on EpicNPC, not on discord or any other site!

If the seller is not willing to use a middleman (if he is an honest person he has no reason not to!) or tries to force you into using a middleman of his choice on discord stay away from buying!!! You are likely to get scammed and lose your money!

Member with just a few positive Feedback:

Here we have a good example of a seller who seems to be trustworthy person, as he/she has recieved some positive feedback in the past.
BUT!
Positive feedback does not necessarily mean that the person is a honest seller, as you can get positive feedback as buyer, too.

So you should ALWAYS check the profile of the seller (my account as example)

after clicking as shown in the picture you should look out for this

Here you can see the feedback that was left FOR the person you want to buy from.
Check the feedback for positive reviews from "buyer" - in most cases you can also "visit the deal thread" to see what was sold by the seller in the past.
If the seller only got positive feedback from other sellers (and or very few buyers), you should use a middleman for your own safety.
Also make sure to check when the user got the feedback and on what products! Some scammers make multiple accounts using different IPs and make "deals" with themself the same day they created their "main account" to give them positive Feedback to gain trust from unexperienced users.

High REP Seller:

Here you can see a member with lots of positive feedback, there are also sellers with positive feedback ranging up to
6000+ positive Feedback.
It's generally a safe call to buy from these sellers. If you are still unsure, check their profile as seen above.
Reputable sellers will also never have any problems if you want to use a middleman for a safe transaction.

2. Information you can get about the account BEFORE you even contact the seller.

After checking the seller, you should always check the account that he wants to sell!
- If you don't know about what an account is worth, check the listings of reputable sellers to get an overview about the prices.
- If the price of the account you want to buy sounds too good to be true, it most likely is!
- Check the other listings on the forum (eventhough it takes some time)! Sometimes you will find out that the seller just copied a listing of a reputable seller or uses his screenshots to scam you!
- Sometimes you can get really good deals on the site, but if you see one you should never hesitate and just send money because you want the account asap. Stay safe and use a middleman!
- Some scammers will push you to send the money or they will sell the (most likely not existing) account to another person. Never do that! Stay safe and use a middleman!

3. Information you can get while chatting with the seller.

After you gathered all the information above and you are planning to buy the account, you will contact the seller (most times on Discord).
- Always ask non high-REP sellers for specific recent pictures of the account (summoning page, unit overview, resources, artifacts, other stuff like this). Make sure you don't get the exact same pictures already listed in the thread.
This way you can make sure the seller really is in possession of the account.
- An honest seller will always provide you with screenshots and help with any questions you have.

I can't state this too often: If the seller does not agree to use a middleman on EpicNPC, stay away from buying!

If everything is legit you are safe to make the transaction!

I hope I covered all important things on this guide, I tried to make it as compact as possible.

If you have any additions, just let me know :)

Sorry for any grammar errors, I'm not a native speaker.

Stay safe and enjoy your new account(s)!

middle man should be auto-mandatory at price 50$ & above. I hope devs could implement this since this post might got read after people got scammed like me. got excited from trusted buyer, forgot middle man, boom gone
