INTRODUCTION

Hey Guys. I would like to offer coaching services in Dota 2. I have been involved with Dota for 8 years now, I went through all the phases of it during this long period, I have been playing on almost every platform like bnet, Garena, ICCUP, Dotalicious, etc. and played my fair share with today's competitive players a long time ago.
As I am in every game I do it on a fairy high level but more importantly I know quite a lot about the game, the mechanics and the situational choices due to my experience and my knowledge-hungry personality. In every game I am involved I like knowing as much as possible.

I didn't have the opportunity back then to play as much so going competitive at the time was not an option due to time issues and by now I prefer playing for fun and teaching others so the Dota 2 community can improve as well, not to mention after a certain age you can't be as effective or even as quick as the new generation of competitive gamers today. Even though you can balance some of this disadvantage out with experience, it still remains.

You might wonder what makes me think I am better than the rest (I don't) and have the right to teach others. It is a fair point. While it is nearly impossible to measure one's skills individually in a team-game the 8 years of playing gave me such extensive knowledge about the game, even if it is on a new engine and it is constantly changing, I know I can make it way easier to climb the steep learning curve while helping you find the role you enjoy the most, help your team overcome some of the difficulties you may run into while trying to improve yourselves as well as sharing some tricks that can decide a fight or even a game once in a while.

STYLE AND KNOWLEDGE

As for being up to date, I am following the Europe and North American Dota 2 scene daily as well as I'm keeping an eye on Chinese and SEA teams, but my knowledge is based on Europe and NA mostly. Still this means that I am familiar with the current metagame(if we can even use such a term, more like trends, tastes in many cases apart from adapting to the current patch) all the time, where it shifts, what heroes are coming in and falling out of the popular pool. My experiences are based on this so I will represent mostly European style during coaching unless a request is made specifically regarding following the Asian trends while coaching, in which case I will need some time to fully prepare before the first session.

THE SERVICE ITSELF

Since there has been changes due to not being able to group up with high ranking gaps, I have several accounts including high and low MMR as well as currently under ranking development, so grouping up is not a problem.

The content of the coaching is up to you, but here some choices of service you might want to consider:

  • - Coaching during your team practice and analysing afterwards
  • - Reviewing and analyzing replays
  • - Practicing lasthits/laning/hero matchups as 1 on 1, 2 on 2, etc
  • - Discussing drafting and strategy
  • - Practicing(Scrimming) with your team with me as a standing in on the position of your choice
  • - Teaming up for ranked or fun matchmaking regardless of the mode
  • - Discussing patch notes
  • - Watching and giving feedback on competitive games

The service has the same hourly rates for individuals as well as for groups.

Regardless of the content of the session, my price for coaching is $15 per hour.

If you want to know more or interested in the service, contact me on skype: greg.b85

Meanwhile Good Luck and Have Fun Gaming.
