Do people get banned often for buying referrals on League of Legends?

It all depends on how many referrals you get, unless you are getting ridiculous amounts of them they wont mind.

It really depends on your provider, If the provider uses good proxies, and switches them out daily on individual accounts, there should be no problem. I've honestly never heard of anyone getting perma'd for referals either, If you get banned from refs contact RIOT and apologize saying you will never do it again, and they will give you your account back, but stripped of the referall rewards.

The only thing that matters on referrals is proxy and randomized account name/emails.
If you have 100 refs followed by bobxxxx on [email protected] it's quite more likely to get notice faster than on randomized.
You wont get banned at first for it, but your referral system will be blocked and stripped from prizes.

Sometimes, it doesn't happen instantly though, I feel like eventually Riot catches up. My friend bought some and got his RAF revoked like a month after

yeah sometime ppl get a fast ban for it..sometimes it takes decades to get banned lol.

You don't get banned, as long as you don't go above 150 referrals max, you won't even be suspected of anything.

Worst that can happen, if you bring attention to it, is retract of all currency gained through the referrals. My account's pretty old and I've done 200 referrals.
