Reported problem: The buyer purchased a Steam account from me on July 28 through a transaction involving an MM. After payment, I provided the buyer with the account credentials along with the bank card details, phone number, and activation/recovery codes associated with the account, so they had all the necessary information to recover the account if any access issues occurred.
The buyer was able to access the account. Several days later, the buyer reported being logged out and unable to access it. Instead of resolving the issue through the site or MM, the buyer requested a PayPal chargeback on August 12, claiming that the item had not been received.
Please review the full transaction chat, including the account transfer, the recovery information provided, the buyer's messages, and the MM's involvement, and investigate the situation based on the transaction history.
Outcome of dispute: Seller reported the buyer opened a payment dispute become someone changed the Steam account password.
After an investigation it was deemed no one recalled the account and the seller did not change the password.
Evidence shows most likely the buyer regretted the purchase and made up the story to get their money back
Buyer was issued a forced-trade back violation.
During the investigation the seller recovered the account, but then refused to refund. Kept both. Seller was banned.
