OP I hope you don't mind if I piggyback off this post a bit, as I was recently targeted by this scammer as well, and when I google searched his Discord ID, this post came up, and I just want to add some more information in case any other people who are targeted by this scammer also finds this post.
This Scammers methods:
1) He'll message you via discord and depending on the situation, he'll introduce his "friend" as either a potential seller/buyer or MM. If his "friend" is a potential seller/buyer, Ai u e o will offer to act as a MM himself
2) He or his "friend" will give multiple screenshots as "proof" of being legit
3) After making a group chat, him and his "friend" will prolong the exchange, eventually ghosting you.
4) After he ghosts you, if he ever does respond to you calling him out, he'll start guilt tripping you saying things like, "Why are you calling me a scammer" "I woke up to read something rude" etc. This then proceeds to him gaslighting and making it seem like you're rude and cancel off further communication
Some notes to add/speculation:
- I quoted "friend" because it is highly likely to be the same person on an alt account. It was very obvious in the group chat that he cannot reply on both accounts at the same time and in my case, his language was nearly identical, which I will go into further later. This also reinforces his method of prolonging the exchange. For example in my case, he was the MM and his "friend" was the seller. The MM would ghost for a while saying he needs to check something. Then literally, less than 10 secs before the MM came back, the "friend" said he had to quickly go do something. Then when the "friend" comes back, the MM is the one ghosting.
Some nuances of Ai u e o#8888:
(Do note that I am not familiar with traders these days so some points may be a common thing, and this scammer can change, but it's just additional info I want to add just in case he's dumb enough to continue scamming the same way)
- His Discord name is currently Ai u e o#8808. He has nitro so he can change up the numbers. But considering he doesn't change his name after being banned on epicnpc, I honestly think he's dumb, so he'll probably continue using the same name. I guarantee you if you confront him about it, he'll say people are cloning. Don't believe him.
- He sells Discord Nitro in a SEA currency. If he does happen to change his name, be wary of someone selling Discord Nitro in SEA currency in their discord profile
- He will always ask proof of transaction (I honestly find this quite rare with legit traders considering I've been trading accounts a lot a while back, why do I have to show proof when you can see the money in paypal or not, and paypal even provides receipt). I think it's his way of trying to sound legit
- He uses the word "bro" and "bruh" and "loooool" way too much. When I had small talk with both him and his "friend", his use of language and sentence structure is almost identical. Space before a "?" for example, "im scammer ?". He also tends to add the "$" after the digits, for example, "200$"
- He seems desperate. He will ping you non stop trying to get a deal going, he'll even start calling you on discord every 20 secs.
- If you ask him for his epicnpc account, he'll link this account https://www.epicnpc.com/members/epicreak.214870/ and claim it was hacked. I dunno who this is, maybe he just found a random trader's account?
- Obviously he is not a native english speaker so he has broken english
- Him and his friend will constantly have the discord profile in invisible status
- Banned epicnpc profile says he is from Indonesia. He told me he was from the Philippines living in the US
Again, individually, these points seem quite common and irrelevant, but if you see a combination of these points, be extremely wary.
Edit (22/08/2022): Ai u e o#8808 has changed his discord name to Blackwood#8808. In my case I'll also add his "friends" discord name in case he uses that account again 非常感謝您#9050
He's been a discord nitro member (middle icon) since 28 July 2022 and Server Boosting (right icon) since 29 July 2022). Maybe this can help properly better identify him
