Any generic copy/paste fine print that one should include when finalizing a sale of a toon that very closely describes what it is the person is actually paying for and what you are promising they will receive? You know, sort of a "cover your a**" block of text?

Its up to you, I'd say include a 30 day warranty, unless they sell it or trade it or share any information. And also tell them they'll have to prove it.

Thats what seems to be the most generic warranty for an account that some resellers use.

Hi,

I use something like this:

Please confirm that you are paying the sum of <amount> for access and usage of my World of Warcraft Account and the characters and items that are included within it. Should the account be taken out of your control, I will assist in its recall as long as:

1) It has not been used for botting, selling gold or any other activity that is in breach of the Terms and Conditions for World of Warcraft

2) It has not been passed on to any third party by any means. For example it has not been traded, sold, lent to a friend, rented out etc

Please note no recall can be guaranteed and it is your responsibility to ensure adherence to the above and that your computer or any other electronic device you may use is secure.

Any attempt to recall or contest the payment you have made for this account may result in the account being immediately recalled by myself.

Hope this helps,
Delirious

That's a highly detailed thing to think about. Most companies don't even have any fine print which promises what will be delivered. That shows that buyers don't really care for the fine print on buying an account. I think it has to do with the nature of accounts.

The real thing to focus on is just making sure the account itself is described well. As Delirious pointed out, highlight key details such as original ownership, if you are including an ID scan, and if you know the security question answer, etc. Read a few descriptions on the boards and you'll see exactly what kind of language people are using.
