Appreciate the concern, Merlynn - wasn't really even an attempt to scam me, since I held off on responding to his post, until I checked him out, and then I realized that's almost certainly a scammer trying to score big time before they eat the ban hammer. Didn't even bother talking to him on Skype as a result.

It's not the site, it's just a platform - and on account of it being very popular in the game trading circles, it's bound to attract a multitude of scammers looking to score. Good thing they got this one early on - though I really don't see how banning him would be an impediment in the long run, since he can just create another account via a proxy or a VPN, even if he's IP-banned ( which I assume he is ).

A brand new account trying to simultaneously buy/sell a ton of stuff from different games is a big red flag in my eyes. A new account trying to sell/buy one specific item is completely plausible, on the other hand - at least risk is much lower, and you can mitigate that even further after a thorough conversation with the person involved, assess them on your own.

 

I've followed this account for a while now and I'm completely blown away at the issues this gentleman is having with someone trying to scam him. Isn't this the 2nd try in like a week? :/ I thought this site was supposed to be one of the better/more trusted ones? Recently it's just been riddled with thieves and if this is a sign of the times, surely this will just crumble soon? :/

 

Last poster seemed fishy to me ever since that post of his - especially after checking out his profile and seeing a new account approach numerous other sellers trying to buy various stuff ( not even only WoW-related ). Guess scammers are quite predictable and transparent after all.

To be honest, I have no idea what "OO" means - what I'm offering is the whole account data, login, secret question and answer, and as an additional bonus - scans of my ID, along with a picture of me holding my ID, so you can use those in case you happen to need to make any future changes to the account with the help of Blizzard support ( if you need to change your country, for instance ).

I can also make screenshots from within the WoW account itself of achievements, mounts, etc. - whatever you need, basically.

Yes, totally understandable. Noone was born with a stellar rating, I guess, and considering I'm not a reseller or a trader of accounts and game-related items, just selling my own account that I'm done playing with, I can't really accumulate a rating.

Your concerns are completely rational - I bet there are tons of people out there whose actions warrant that.

Wish I could do something to alleviate your concerns, but ultimately, if you feel uncomfortable with the idea of purchasing the account, perhaps it's better to hold off for another offer that would instill more confidence.

Reason I'm selling the account is that I am about to start a new job in the near future, and I won't be able to allocate the amount of time necessary to progress in WoW anymore.
