can people me scam me while using paypal?

hello
i have little experience in online trading (i mean, using paypal with people from other countries), and i just got my paypal account verified.

if im selling a account via paypal, do i need to take another type of precaution?
example:
1) i receive a paypal payment for the account i'm selling
2) i give the person all the account details so he can change the password and email
3) deal concluded

should i make the person pay me using "gift"?
any insights would be great

Most people do like to be paid as a gift in situations like this. We do offer a account review service here and there's always the middlemen also If you do your buisness here. It's not 100% but very useful for the price. Also take into account how long your buyer has been a member and there feedback.

My advice would be first, Google the username, then Google their PayPal address. See if anything negative comes up. You can also Google their name after you get their PayPal address and see if there's anything on that too.
While the gift option can protect you from disputes it does not protect you from chargebacks.

Overall, it comes down to your ability to do some reaserch on the person who you're dealing with. While it wont always help, there are times when if someone would've done the before mentioned things, they would have saved themselves.

Aside from all this Sidney812 already mentioned the services offered which can further protect you, not 100%, but it's a good extra layer of protection for the price.

Paypal is very bad for "scams" especially on completely virtual transactions. It's one of the main problems with the virtual marketplace. (other than the people).
