buying new account, advise pls

hi i just bought an account, what steps should i follow to make sure the guy i bought it from doesnt take it back?

well, did u get the sq&a? if so u should call blizzard and get the email changed asap, along with the contact info, and than if u want to be really safe transer the character to a new account that is the safest way to go. If u didnt get the sq&a than there isnt much u can do but hope....

i got the secret question and answer, should i contact blizzard to change the rest of the account information? even my real name and second name?
will i need the cd key?

no all u need to change on the account is email, address and phone number, and no u will not need a cd key if u have the sq&a.

You can't change the registered owner's name on the account, I think even if you just mention it, they may lock the account.

You should call in and change the email and phone number on the account, that's about all you can do. Transfer the characters to a new account and realm, if possible.

ok, i called them and they asked me for all the personal details and also the cd key or last credit card used or pre paid card, so email address phone... changed now.
is still any chance the old owner can still get it?

well... nope lol he can call and they will ask for info... but he will not know the email or the phone number on the account there isnt anything he can do know unless u tell him.

The original owner can always take the account back if he can provide Photo I.D or birth certificate by mailing them (can't be done by phone or email, has to be sent in real life) Doesn't matter what info is changed on the account...the original owners name cannot be changed..so he can always get it back no matter what.

Only way to be safe is too xfer it off onto another account, but still if the original owner tries hard enough by calling them up bitching and crying, then sending more proof he/she is the original owner & they will reverse the transfer.

yes, that is true but if someone does that he/she has alot of time on there hands, and as i stated before yes account transfer is the smartest way to go =)
