Buy Now Links - Trade Guardian Update

Sellers can now create Trade Guardian "Buy Now" links to help speed up transactions and save time.


How do Buy Now links work?

• There is a new Seller Tools page in Trade Guardian. There sellers can create Buy Now links
• Once a link is created, the seller can add it their thread or anywhere.
• Buyers can click the "Buy Now" link and once they deposit credits, a Trade Guardian transaction will be created
• The seller then delivers the item to complete the sale

What is the benefit of Buy Now links?

• Sellers can make sales even when they're offline saving them valuable time.
  • Credits are deposited into Trade Guardian so both buyer and seller are protected.
• Buyers can take their time making a purchase.
  • Since buyers can make the purchase at any time, there's no sale's pressure on the buyer making the sale experience more enjoyable.

We hope these new Buy Now links will help sellers increase their sales and at the same time make the buying experience safer and more enjoyable.

Q: How many Buy Now links can I create?
A: At this time there is no limit. You can create one for each sale thread your have if you like.

Q: Does it work with multiple quantities?
A: Yes, if you're selling a service or multiple items that are same, you can add a quantity value.

Q: How do I track my Buy Now links?
A: On the "Seller Tools" page at the bottom, it will list all your Buy Now links including quantity, URL, credit amount and more info.

Q: What happens to the link after my item is sold?
A: The Buy Now link closes so no further purchases can be made.

Q: Can I cancel my Buy Now link?
A: Yes, simply click the close button to disable the link from the Seller Tools page.

Q: Can I edit the Buy Now link?
A: Only if no purchase as been made. Once a purchase has been made or started, the link will no longer be editable.

Q: Will I be notified when a purchase is made?
A: Yes, you will receive a PM notification. If you have setup your account to receive emails for PMs, you will then also receive an email.

Q: Who pays the 12% Trade Guardian fee?
A: The seller will always page the fee. There is no option to split or have the buyer pay.

It should be great if you can add an auto-shop system / autodelivery system for the seller

For most games an auto-delivery system is not possible. Accounts have security features and codes that have to be manually entered or removed by the seller at the time of purchase, so there would be no way to automate that. The seller also has to help the buyer secure the account after purchase, with an automated system this wouldn't be possible. We would also have to collect all account info, login, password, secret q/a and other info in order to make a system like this work. I'm sure most sellers would not want to submit that type of info to a website and we would not want to collect that type of info.

Epicnpc if I might suggest if your going to start this I think you need to allow the trade guardian to do like they do at player up

I don't know what PU does. I tend not to watch sites that are owned by thieves that steal 90% of their content from other sites.

Since there is no auto delivery (understandable), but sort of defeats the purpose in my opinion.
Anyway, will the buyer be informed that this is not a "instant thing", as it could take a day or more for them to receive the goods.

Once the buyer makes a payment, it automatically creates a Trade Guardian transaction which provides step-by-step instructions to both the buyer and seller along the way. So yes, there is a notice explaining to the buyer that they will have to wait for the seller to deliver the item.
