Bought account, but there's an account alert

Hi all,

I purchased a steam account here for some dota arcanas, but a couple days later, it has an account alert and banned from playing unless I am able to go through the account recovery with the ORIGINAL e-mail address which is difficult to do... In the future for any accounts that I buy, how do I avoid a ban/alert like this? I did change some personal information, could it be that? Or is it because I'm accessing the account from a different country/ip address?

Any of that could cause it. I would wait at least 30 days before changing any account data after purchase, even then I would only change very little and more over time.
