So I just got scammed for 20k gold. It's not much, but enough to piss me off.

I traded with a guy using the email [email protected], and here's what happend:

Since I closed down my msn window, I lost the chat, but here's (very) a short version.

Nick: I WTB 20k Gold on your server.

Me: Okay, I charge 1,1 dollar/1000g.

Nick: Okay, do you do guildtrade? I will make the guild fast to make if safer for us both.

Me: (Joins guild) - deposits 20k gold.

Nick: I have to wait for another payment quickly, will send money very soon.

Me: (I can do nothing but accept this and wait)

5 minutes later..

"Nick appears to be offline."

Sigh.. so yeah. That's what happend. I can't prove it since I lost the chat, but as mentioned; his email is [email protected] and I'd appriciate if you looked into this. 20k is not a lot to me, but I don't want people going around stealing others' gold.

Tyvm,
Maaarten.

No proof, no user on the site? Moved to scam busters.

As mentioned, I dont have any proof as I closed down my messenger window, deleting the entire chat.
He did PM me a week ago or so, but I deleted that PM, so I can't find his name there.

I can't do nothing about it, and it's fine - it's only 20k gold (And I sit on 1mil+), but it was just to let people know that they have to be careful if this guy contacts them. It's up to you to decide wheter you believe it or not.

Thanks :)

So you want me to contact a GM, so they can restore the gold I was selling? Okay sure, I dont see any flaws in that idea..
:)

I'm just throwing it out there as an avenue to get your gold back. What it also does is have them trace the account that took the gold and their activity (meaning possible suspensions/bans/etc). Why not cause them a little heartache as they've done it to you.
