banner advertising question

Hey Team,

I just wanted to confirm the top 728x90 and side 160x600 banner advertisement images, can they be animated GIFs or just flat static images?

Can be .gif but dunno exactly how much the filesize should be or whats the limit for it.

I remember i had to resize mine to work properly, for example, mine now have around 60KB and its all good

gifs are okay, but please make sure the image is 200kb or smaller.
