Anyone here golf? -- Need Equipment Advice

It has been about 5-6 years since I have picked up a club and I am looking to get back into it with a couple buddies of mine.

If you had about $500-600 to spend on a complete set (irons, putter, and drivers), what kind of setup would you go with (IE maker, grips, etc)? I am looking for something for an beginner/intermediate player.

If you can shoot me some links of what you get and a reason why, that would be fantastic!

I personally use the TRX Ti Driver, and absolutely love it in every sense of the word, mine isn't stock so it's a bit different/more expensive. (Lighter grip, different shaft)

Really recommend.

And, welcome back into the world of golf. Get your *** out on there golfing every weekend if you can.

well there is no way your going to get a decent FULL set for 500-600 dollar clubs.... irons alone should be that much for a good set

As he said, he's looking to make a beginner/intermediate set, not going full out on all the best/expensive clubs.

He can make a decent (not amazing) set for about that much. Obviously he'll have to sacrifice on some, but, I he can do it.

Plus, he is just starting again, why spend over 600 bucks on something you may do for a weekend and decide you really don't feel like picking it back up.

Golf isn't for everyone.
