Any thoughts on the future of Tera

So I am deciding to try a new mmo and Tera kept comming to mind, but is this game gaining or losing popularity? And im a huge fan of pvp

Well, it really depends on the popularity of the game and how the company manages it. A lot of games will flourish on Free2Play with microtransactions, for example, League of Legends. Not only is it the most popular RTS game for the past few years, it now has championship gaming tournaments for thousands of dollars. As long as the company is clever about creating good new content and cool store items that can be bought, it'll do fairly well. Personally I don't like TERA, but that's just because the battle system just isn't my style.

I liked TERA's combat a lot, but it's quest system is extremely grindy. It also just went F2P so at least for the time being the population size is probably on the rise.

It seems that alot of the MMO's that go F2P gains some population for an amount of time and then it ends up dying out again completely, i mean look at SW:ToR when it launched last year around this time, was on the high rise , 2-3 months later, game was dying, still is dying slowly

If you like PVP, if you like open world pvp etc. i would suggest you pay some small attention to Eve online

I don't think TERA is being "unpopular". It's game which you can or love or hate. It has its own fans and they won't leave it for sure

I love the game just because of the combat system.

combat system is by far the most unique and fun ive had in awhile

It seems to be doing pretty well. If they'd only get rid of the issues with the Nexus, then things might be better. The lag is pretty unbearable when those things are running.
