Am I possibly getting Scammed?

Hello, I'm not all too familiar with how to pin point a scammer from not being able too. So I figured before I make this transaction on the first I would give you guys some insight as to our conversation and see if I can't get a feel for what you guys think. Considering I'm the buyer and paying through Western Union.

Recently, I made a post which can be found here http://www.markeedragon.com/forums/ubbth...7_5#Post2371311 looking to buy a decked out Mage account.

As you scroll down you will see a user by the name of Barkeetos who contacted me in regards to an account he is selling. His rep page can be found here: http://www.markeedragon.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/2234040#Post2234040

A few things that threw me off guard when talking to him: Sadly, I don't have the entire conversations as my router shut off and I needed to shut down my computer to regain internet access. So here we go

1) When he first contacted me I wasn't available. So I contacted him back in regards to his account and he has no idea what I'm talking about at first and wanted a link to my post. So I provide it to him he then says ok well I gtg I'll be back in an hour. Just him having no recollection of what I was asking him about sent up a minor red flag to me.

2) Then today we finally discuss the account he has. He asked my price range and I gave it to him. I ask him if he can tell me anything about the account other then "it's the extremely geared mage" and he says here I'll give you an armoury link it'll answer all your questions. It took him about 20-30 minutes to get me an armoury and told me it was because his i.e. was lagging. Seems kinda fishing for it to lag THAT LONG.

3) I see the armoury and it's actually practically identical to what I was asking for. Full T7.5, The Turning Tide MH with Maxed out Enchanting. I ask him if the account has any pvp gear on it. He said "no sorry just pve gear". So I wow-heroes the toon, and there it is sitting in deadly/hateful pvp gear.

When I ask him why he said it had no pvp gear given what I just saw on wow-heroes. He says this (since this was an offline message I was able to still have it).

Also, I could understand if he wasn't all that familiar with the account and was just a reseller however, he claimed to be the OO of the account and would be able to provide a photo id for the account aswell. It just seemed really fishy to me that someone who's the Original Owner doesn't know their own account.

Can I get your general consensus before I send this guy $600 through WU?

<span style="color: #009900">Well, it's hard to say. He does have rep from some TrustWho Members which is always good. And if hes willing to send you a scanned ID, even better.

But since your sending via WU, I would recommend getting info first to verify the account has what he is claiming it has, then he can verify WU payment via westernunion.com with the Code and First/Last Name. And from his rep, people are saying he has no problem giving info fisrt, so you should be fine. Just dont send WU first lol.</span>
