Am I getting scammed? What can I do here?

Hey, I recently sold an account I had posted on this site. The transaction was done over aim and I've still got the entire log. I also have a confirmation email that was sent by WoW to change the email adress, but this person has issued a recall on his funds from my paypal account. I sent pay-pal the aim log and explained the situation, and told them i would provide more information if necessary. Am I screwed or can I still make it out with my funds?

You can change the e-mail back on the registered account by calling the Billing Department.

Phone Support

1 (800) 592 5499 (1-800-59-BLIZZARD)
Automated 24 hours
Live Representative Mon-Fri, 8AM-8PM (PST)

Alternative Numbers

Australia: 1-800-041-378

Singapore: 800-2549-9273

Then you can go here: https://www.worldofwarcraft.com/loginsupport/password.html and retrieve your account, or you can ask them to do it on the phone (and send it to your new e-mail).

If this doesn't work, wait for someone else here to post what to do. I've never recalled account, so I don't know the steps to do. But I imagine that what i've put above is in the right direction. =) Worst comes to worst, ask them to give you the correct number.

Definitely recall the account because you will 99% lose your case on paypal. Paypal really only excepts evidence in terms of shipment confirmation etc... emails and chat logs don't do much at all.

Alright I called the people at Blizzard and they said they can only deal with the person that the account is registered to. If the guy changed the info to himself, I think I might be screwed in trying to recall it. Do you guys know if there's still a way to get it back?

If you're the OO (the one who made the account in the first place), then you can get it back.

Some information you can include:

- Fax in your drivers license for proof of your first and last name.
- Take pictures of your CD-keys for both pre-bc/bc. (located on the actual CDs)
- All previous account infomation, including e-mailing them from the e-mail the account was registered with. Call them from the number you registered the account with also.
- Use the secret question/answer.

If you're not the first person that made the account, I doubt you'll get it back.

[edit] Here's a blizzard forum for more information that you can include: http://ftp.blizzard.com/pub/WoW/other/Account-Retrieval-Notary.pdf
