Alright so he's the story.
I think it was Wednesday March 18 2009 that I got an IM from XzCameraPhonezX regarding a post that I had made in an attempt to trade my steam account + CD keys for a wow account. He had a wonderful offer for me (decked out rogue) and a very good reputation as well (markee name bobfungy). So after talking on the phone with him we decided to trade. He informed me that his account would run out of time on friday March 20 2009. I was alright with this. So he gave me 2 numbers and supposedly they were his. A cell phone number and a home phone number. I called him on his cell phone using the number he gave and it worked. I also called him on his home phone and it worked (he picked up). So we finalized it and everything was great. I did not have any money to put time on the account until Monday March 23, which is when I bought a $40 2 month gamecard and put it on the account. Only about 11 hours after I put time on the account (sometime tuesday) I try to log on and the password no longer works. So I try to recall it but the email was changed. So I get in touch with him and he tells me that he forgot to tell me that someone else that he dealt with before knew his account info and that he probably recalled it.
First suspicious thing was the fact that momentarily after I put time on the account did the account get recalled.
So today he gets in touch with me on AIM. I will be very concise here. He gets in touch we me, he tells me that he got the account back from the guy, he tells me that he would like to trade back (all is good), I tell him that I tried calling his home phone # but they said that he didn't live there and that they didn't know him, I confronted him about that and asked for a phone convo, he refused to have a phone convo, he then said that he refused to trade, I then said that I thought he was a scammer, he asked me to prove it, I made an argument on aim and luckily he was dumb enough to catch himself in a web of lies and eventually ended up admitted to me (on aim) that he stoled $40 (2 months of wow time) from me and his account back.
Here is the AIM convo. Note: I stopped responding because I had all that I needed and he was trying to maintain his innocence even though he admitted that he scammed me. Also, note that he says in the beginning of the convo that he "got the account back" and later he says that no one else knew the account info (proving that he lied about the account being recalled) and later he states that he got 2 months of wow from me... After this point I asked him if he did want to trade back just to see where it would lead. He told me yes he hates wow...I have no idea what he's trying to do maybe trying to get me to give my steam info first this time and to scam me either way make what you want out of the conversation but any half witted individual will see that he is a scammer.
