If he didnt scam you, he dfeinitly wouldnt have been talking to you for that long trying to cover himself. I suggest that you resolve it between you two before contacting WoW. By contacting WoW and either saying "I was scammed by selling it" Or "I was hacked" can mean the difference between getting your account back and getting you account BANNED. I've seen it happen many times. If he claims to be YOU in the game, and you have substantial proof, phone numbers, etc. You may be able to follow up with legal councel for a Identity Theft and not only get your account back, but get some money too.
