AH Gold Transfer (between factions)

I happen to have an alliance account (all alliance toons) that has 10k+ gold. I also have a separate horde account (all horde toons). The horde account has considerably less gold and I'm considering transferring one toon with as much gold as possible to then transfer to my horde account via the AH. Does anyone know how safe/unsafe that is these days? Is Blizzard tracking that pretty agressively? If I spread it out and make it relatively low gold per item transactions would I be running a risk?
