So I have been here for around two years, and I thought i had pretty much figured out the best way of trading and i had not had any problems except with 2 accounts this year.

Yestday i did a trade with aim name globesk8ter14251

Markee name:Doomarutan

I traded my DK for his Pally

He seemed legit and everything on aim but explained he was new to trading so i walked him through everything and why you do the order that i do.

He let me get his info first since i was TWV and gave all account info.

But today when i got home from work i try to get on and bam "inccorect password" so i am like, i know where this is going.

go to Wow site and try to recall password but the email has been changed. now he is not on aim

Since I have all his account info should i call and recall his pally? get his pally banned? recall my dk with the risk that it could be banned?

I'm lost

call blizzard accounts services and recall his paladin a couple times to get it locked (assuming the information he gave you was correct - i hope you verified it)

then call in blizzard again and get your DK locked. seeing you are the original owner you can fax in some paper work and get it unlocked a bit later after this is all over and xfer it to another account for security.

good luck!

If you trade again, when you ask him to change the e-mail on his account to something of yours, make sure once you get the account, you change it to something else.

With the new re-call system if he knows the current e-mail and secret question he can re-call it without even calling in.

The other thing I do, is if its a higher profile trade (my main account) not some less important ones, I always make a new account and x-fer the main character off.

However seeing as sometimes trades will go wrong no matter what you do, I am now only trading with TWV members, or very repped members, I believe the lack of choice is made up for by the security.
