i Have a Issue, i need some clarification, due to a recent scam thread about account being recalled and it stateing in the scam thread that the seller was responcible for the account even though all information was passed threw to the buyer because there was no talk of a warranty on the account, i was offering 2 of my accounts up to a couple of users today i was no the OO of the accounts but have aquited them threw reped sources and users, when i was asked "What kind of warantee/guarantee are you willing to put on the account?", i thought about this and i though really what can i do... how is it possible to put a garantee on a account that you are not the OO for that wont fall back on you so i decided to look at the preimum sellers and see what they do i found,

"
Limited Warranty Notice:

Our Lifetime Warranty has been discontinued. If you purchased an account during the time that we were offering the Lifetime Warranty, your warranty is still valid.

From this point on (9/2/2012), we only cover our accounts for 30 days. Why only 30 days you may ask? We sat down with **************** and stated that if we did not remove our Lifetime Warranty that they would drop us. They figured that there was too much risk with chargebacks in the event that we did not honor our warranty or something to that effect. To be quite honest, I still do not understand it.

As per the norm, we do not cover the account if you resell it or trade it. Getting the account banned due to your own negligence will also not be covered.""

"What kind of warranty do you offer on your accounts?
******* offers a 60 day 100% guarantee on all accounts you purchase from us. After 60 days we can still assist with an account recovery if it is needed but cannot guarantee a recovery. Since we only purchase the safest, original owner accounts, our recall rate leads the industry with a less than 3% recall rate. If anything were to happen to your account and we are unable to recover it, we will offer store credit equal to your purchase to find a new account. Selling, trading, or even attempting to sell an account purchased from us voids this warranty."

Both of these are fine but Really what Garantee do you have ...........

Quote From Potental buyer"

"gonna have to pass if all i get is a 30 day warantee. im not worried about not liking it or whatever, im worried about the OO coming in and recalling it out from under me."

Reply:

"100% i understand what you are saying i have had it for a few months now i havent had a issue at all, i have the keys and all info but i understand what you mean man, i have never had a issue with any of the accounts i have sold or traded"

So My Question

What warrinty would you put on a account when you are not the OO and what do you think is fair (Would really like a Mod Imput on this as there is no set standard right now)

in the end i dont mind not selling the account because i am likeing it anyway lol, but it is a issue i would like resolved

thanks Chris

All accounts sold have a certain level of risk. If you're buying an account from the OO, that would be low risk, where as buying an account that has been sold or retraded a few times might be considered high risk. As the seller you need to make sure your buyer is aware in case something happens to the account.

If a dispute is opened and no warranty was ever discussed I will be much more likely to side with the buyer. However if you explained to the buyer there's a 30 or 60 day warranty, after that I will help you the best I can, but I cannot guarantee account recovery, that's fine. ID also comes into play. The buyer should know whether or not you have the ability to provide an updated ID on the account incase of ID lock.

I also don't always go exactly by sellers warranties. For example if someone has a 30 day warranty and on 35 days the account is recalled, many times I won't abide by the warranty because it seems very fishy to me and I'll require the reseller to recover the account.

To me the most important piece of info a seller can tell the buyer is whether or not they can recover the account and if they will be able to get an updated ID in case the one they have is rejected.

Also many sellers don't like giving IDs out and have a no resell/retrade clause which I think is a good idea since it causes less recalls.

Below are some questions that I would always ask if buying an account, so I think they would be useful to have in a warranty.

Warranty: X days
Have ID: Yes/no
Buyer receives a copy of ID: Yes/No
Ability to get new ID: Yes/no

All sellers will have different terms of what they are willing to do depending how these questions are answered, but at least the buyer is informed and can then gauge the risk of purchasing the account by knowing this info.
