Account to Account transfer

Hello, a friend quit the game for good recently and he decided to give his account to me. Since I want to play his main char but I dont want to pay for both accounts per month I've looked into transferring a char from one account to another.

I know the requirements for this are being able to answer the secret answer for the 'source' account (can someone confirm, in this case the source account is my friends account right?) which I will be able to do no problem because my friend told me the secret Question/Answer.

The other requirement which could be a problem is the last names on both accounts in question need to match, and from the account management you cannot edit the name.

However on the account management:

"For security reasons, our billing system does not allow subscribers to modify all of their contact details online. If you would like to change the name associated with the account or your country, please contact our Customer Support Department."

So my questions are:

Will I have to ring the guys at blizzard or will it be possible to do it by email, basically which way/ways can I contact them in order to change the name associated with my friends account

What can I say to them in order for them to actually change the name details? I was thinking I could say the account was hacked and the hacker contacted the customer support and managed to get the name changed to his?

Saying that it got hacked and somone changed the name is not going to work as they keep records of name change's i believe the only way to change the name is to provide a marriage Cert and claim you got married and changed you name.

Also another way is maybe Merging the two accounts to a single battle.net account and then after 30 days you will be able to xfer them between accounts.

Or another option is sell me one

Thanks for your reply, guessing contacting blizzard is out of the question if you are correct about the name-change thing.

Could you explain more to me about this battlenet account, ive heard about it before but dont know what the whole thing is actually about, would be appreciated

Also on top of that basically what happens is you create a Battle.net account with blizzard, all in your Addy, first/last name and all that jazz, then you take account A and merg it with battle.net account A, Then you once again with a differnt E-mail make a second Battle.net account, with all the same personal info including the First/last name, Then merg account B with the second battle.net account (B) and wait 30 days for the cooldown, then you will be able to Xfer the toon between the accounts without a problem...

You will need to either

A. Merge both account under the same battle-net account, then transfer the toon from your friend account to your account.

B. Falsify notarized documents of legal name change.

The ball is in your park, account A is definitely the way to go, don't even think about applying B, its most likely not worth the effort/risk.
