Arenanet is running a contest, The Great MMO Migration, were 5000 free copies of GW2 will be given out. You have to make a 30 sec video reciting some oath to enter. The games is also 40% off until Dec 3rd incase you don't want to make a video.
I don't know why GW2 isn't free already, they make way more off of the Gem Store than they do from box sales.
