Ok, I have seen several threads of how someone has bought an account from someone and the original owner took the account back a few weeks/months later.
So i thought I would post this advice on how to keep the toons without the original owner taking them back. Note: This will add $100+ to the price of any account you purchased, plus you will lose the vet rewards of the original account... but it worth the peace of mind.
Simple. Create a new account on SOE with the same last name of the account you just bought. (This is because CTS only checks the last name of the accounts in order to transfer...you can use your first name, because the system doesn't check this). Buy a key for SWG complete online adventures on direct2drive or some other store and purchase a 30 day game card. Activate this new account with the swg game key and time card. (You have a fresh activated account with the last name as the original owner, plus no credit cards were used to interfere with transfers).
CTS the toons off of the account you just bought onto your new account. After CTS is complete, start an Online help SOE chat. Tell them you typed the wrong last name on the account you just created. They will have you verify a few things on this new account. Secret password, so forth. Tell them you wish to change the last name to yours. And your done. You have a brand new account with the toons you bought complete with your information. Now if the original owner ever wants to take his/her account back they will find an account with no toons on it.
