This system is a way for Riot to reward their players for sharing the game and thus bringing in more players to it, and maybe ultimately more potential customers.
The rewards vary depending on the quantity and quality of your referrals. The way in which you obtain these rewards also vary depending on the version of their system you are using, currently there are 2 options: The "Original" referral system, and the latest, the Refer-A-Friend 2.0 system.
Both, in my opinion, have advantages and disadvantages unique to each.
However in this particular thread, I will be working ONLY with the original, Refer-A-Friend System 1.0, which is this one:

~ Why I feel there is 'no harm done' in the service I provide:
This service by Riot is intended to bring in new players and potentially future 'paying players'. I may be wrong, or naive, but the way I see it now, keeping current players satisfied for the duration of their playing experience may also transform them into potential future paying players that either wish to give back to the game or simply customize their gaming experience to match their own unique vision.
Their gaming satisfaction may even lead them to 'truly' share the game around, maybe stream about it, and whatnot. The possibilities are endless and I feel ultimately all falls into place for 'satisfaction for all', you, me, Riot and all involved. I'm also re-starting my whole League experience to a point where I feel a beginner again, low-level environments are the perfect place for me as a player to re-discover the whole game from scratch.
This is not to say the service I provide is completely "legal", though if you are in this forum, you probably evolved past that aspect by now
However, it is important for me to inform you of this, and that the 'possible consequences if we get caught' consist of, as far as my current understanding goes, only the removal of all referrals and referral rewards in the respective account.
For your comfort (if you trust my words), I, from the past 3 years of League playing, have acquired inmense experience in the art of making referrals and obtaining rewards flawlessly, never once having been caught in the probably 70+ referral accounts I've given to friends and family, known ones and myself during all this time, so I am confident in my ability to stay flawless
However, if we do get caught at any point of our deal, and it was on my end, I will be happy to negotiate a refund policy with you that if as fair as possible for both of us.
