- Added a new Dark Zone bracket for 231+ Gear Score.
- You can now recalibrate one of your Weapon's talents at the recalibration bench.
- You can no longer share an item that you have equipped.
- Adjustments have been made to NPC threat lists that caused players to stay in combat for large periods of time. You will now leave combat after reaching a certain distance away from the enemy or after a set amount of time.
- Players will now be disconnected from the game server if they are inactive for 15 minutes or longer.
- Players can now matchmake from inside no-respawn areas and can fast travel into activities while the group is in a no-respawn area.
- You can no longer kick a group member in a boss fight and up to one minute after it has been completed. This restriction does not apply to group members who are AFK or outside the mission area.
- All players must now be present in the final Circle in Clear Sky before you can interact with the laptop and fuses.
- Exotic Damage Resilience is now capped at 90%.[HIDE=1]
- Fixed a bug where the Moon was upside down.
So this may or may not become a "new thing" - I want to try and keep this newsbyte section updated a little every week
with what's currently going on in the game, or about what changes in the weeks and months to come. Everyone should
already know about the nerfs to our craftable SMGs, the AUG and the Vector. Then there's been the nerfs to the 2 and 3
piece Striker and Sentry gear sets. And now, with the 1.3 patch, everyone who was lucky enough to get a G36 in their hands
for a few days knows what Destiny is like.
So above I have plagiarized some of Ubisoft/Massive's 1.3 patch notes - mostly those concerning gameplay. The new SMGs,
including "the old" SMGs now roll with critical hit damage instead of chance, which makes them less lethal than before. I guess
you could say that was a good thing, given that critical hit chance is now capped out at 60% anyway. Aside from the G36 assault
rifle, there are still two extremely high base-damage weapons out there that I know of - the PP-19 SMG and the X-45 sidearm -
so give those a try.
The new matchmaking adjustments preventing shady players from kicking match-made teammates during the last few minutes
of a mission or an incursion is definitely welcome, though it does open up another string of issues for legitimate players. My team
and I run incursions quite a lot, and the bug causing players to crash in groups of 2 in the last two rounds of an incursion now may
result in a team wipe due to the locked options of the group leader. In the event that the disconnected players are locked out of
the fireteam, either the two other members will wipe or only claim half of the whole team's rewards. In another instance, a buddy who
crashes may have their spot taken by a matchmaking blueberry. There is no way to remove anyone near the end of an event, unless
you ask him nicely (which is what we did, and it worked)..
Here's to hoping the DLC brings better news.
