urgent battle.net advice needed help

here's the situation. I inadvertently bought a European WoW account. I didn't think of making sure it was American wow that was dumb but it was such a good price I snapped it up asap. Problem is well I'm American so I'm afraid to merge it onto an American Battle.net? What should I do- thinking make him merge it to a European himself with an email address I give him?
