Hi there! Apologies if this isn't the correct part of the forums to post in, I'm a newcomer here. Feel free to delete or whatever if this is in the wrong category.

I'm interested in selling bnet accounts (specifically just Overwatch), but as I have never done this before, I'm unsure of extra precautions I can take to protect myself and the people I'd potentially sell to. I know the bare bones basics like unlinking payment methods and using a "throwaway" email, etc etc, but beyond that I'm not really sure as to what actions I can take to ensure a safe experience. I'd appreciate any input from experienced OW/Bnet account sellers. Thanks for reading :)

As a seller what you posted is correct. Make sure all your payment options are removed and use a new throwaway email to make the transfer easier. Make sure all security options are disables also so the transfer goes smoothly.

If you're new I recommend using our Trade Guardian middleman system
https://www.epicnpc.com/tradeguardian/

A middleman will help you through the process and hold the account while payment is being made. This protects the seller from buyers who don't pay and run away with the account.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Hi, thanks for the response! It was super helpful :D.

What can I do in the event that they take back the money on paypal after the transaction has gone through and they have the account? I know you guys don't protect against this, but do you have any tips on how to prevent this or what to do in the event that it happens? If not, totally okay :). Thanks for the quick response.

Edit: Now that I think about it, do you guys do any middle man services where the buyer pays a middleman, then the middleman pays me to protect this? I don't think I read anything about it but I'd rather use that if available. Again, if not available, it's cool :)

Our MM do not hold payments, only the account or item. Sorry.

For Paypal there is no way to protect against a dispute, Paypal allows 180 days for a buyer to open a dispute and we do not offer a payment protection service for this.

Our Trade Guardian Bitcoin Escrow service does provide this protection. However the buyer must pay with Bitcoin, the seller can withdraw via bitcoin or Paypal.
