i understand why the sellers are liking this consignment thing, its almost zero monetary risk for them, a little bit of time writing and/or posting on a website and they pull cash off the top of the sale.

what i dont like is that we dont know who the oo is, or the seller, to do our own research.

what i dont understand is what is epicnpc's rules on this. if i buy a consigment acct, the seller gets the money, but the seller had zero info on the acct, so if it is recalled who pays you back? do we go after the oo whos info is released at that time or is the seller (who can use the "i didnt have the info so i didnt do it" defense) responsible?

I feel it should be the person posting the account that is held responible, if anything goes wrong they should be the one to cover the loss and then they can go after the seller.

Yeah, The idea is not far from the basics of reselling, but it does add another small element to it all.

Anything to make a buck.

The seller is responsible for the account they sell. There is no difference here from a normal resell.

The seller must provide full disclosure on the accounts they sell including if they are the OO and what info they have and what they will give to the buyer. They don't have to provide all the info to the buyer, as many don't, such as ID, but if something happens to the account the buyer should be aware before the sale how the seller will help them.

If the seller is not OO, has no ID or other vital info and no way to recover an account, all that must be told to the buyer before the sale and the buyer must agree. After that it becomes a buy at your own risk sale and the seller is not responsible for the account after the sale, UNLESS the buyer proves without a doubt that the seller is the one who stole the account or using a friend (third-party) to steal the account back.

While the buyer should be asking the questions, it is the seller's responsibility to fully disclose the info. Many buyers are inexperienced with account selling, so this is why it falls to the seller.
