Ok guys, I'd like to let you all know that I am going to be contributing to this thread regularly. I'm a scammer pwner. I love making scammers cry and [censored] their pants. Today's scammer goes by the MD name of 1337jake or something.

Here's a little back story...

He tried to trade two good accounts for one of mine. It sounded a little too good to be true. He didn't want to go on the phone or even ventrilo. He isnt paypal or trustwho verified and to top it all off, he's also a listed scammer on these forums. I decided to have fun with this nub /u/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif. ENJOY!

(this conversation took place after he IMed my other screenname and unfortunately i dont have the log of the beginning of this convo)

I really do not see a scam. I see 2 people trying to get over on each other.
Your scammers you owned list contains 1 name, it does not contain Scott Voyda's name, so it seems a bit off to me since hes the one who has actually ripped you off .

This also goes to show people that if you give the wrong piece of info, anyone can muster anything with a variety of tools like Google,Credit report services and trace services.
Compiling the data you have with a traceroute,DNS look up,whois, etc will usually allow you to narrow in on someone .If that person or his family members, has a public job that puts their name on websites or in publications, then zeroing in is real easy
 
Sorry Ace, I probably should have censored his screenname too. And also, sorry about the cussing. I read on the scammer pages that this 1337jake guy was a listed scammer, and since i value the information that these pages offer, i acted upon it. I just want to show other scammers that some of us do indeed fight back and come down on them like a ton of bricks. I'm not in the business of just making random people paranoid of their information, but I was just making an example of this one person.

CompleteGibberish, like i said i will be contributing to this thread regularly, adding scammers to the list. Hopefully this will lessen the amount of scammers that even try to contact me. Since I have not finished dealing with Scott Voyda yet, I have not added his story and details to this list. Rest assured, the Scott Voyda story will scare the [censored] out of scammers every where (this i can guarantee /u/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif).

CompleteGibberish and Ace, i'm simply trying to take a public stance against scammers. As you know, these forums are riddled with them. I'd like to help people who have been scammed, or feel they may be scammed as well.

Personally, I think you are a hero. These people should definately be accountable for their actions.

This scares me and I'm going to make a seperate post speaking about this. This guy is from hong kong and most likely is part of a group that steals paypal accounts and uses them to purchase WoW accounts.

What was this transaction for?

From my perspective, it sounds like one of those Sweat Shops in China and Hong Kong. They pay an American to open a Verified PayPal account for them and they use it. He reffers the PayPal Account Owner as his "boss". Usually in those videos about the Sweat Shops, the owner is sometimes American.
 
What you're saying may be true. However the name he refered to as "his boss" and the name under the paypal account were very different. His boss's name was chinese, and the paypal name was about as American as tackle football.

The transaction was for an 70 Rogue account I was trying to sell.

Sup nuka, Been a while but yes. I am not here to trade or sell anymore but infact to help the community of traders in the fight against scammers in different ways. But as far as scam busting Not sure if i wanna jump into that scene just yet.

PS: I can show you some of the stuff I do, but there are some things I can't divulge. Most of what I do is easy and everyone else can do it. Just be sharp and savvy. Use google as much as you can, use reverse-phone-lookups, use google maps. You'd be surprised how much information you can find on a person just by using google!
