So a buddy of mine with way too much money decided he wanted to do a streaming videogame based gameshow. It started this week and he's already given out over 100$ in various gift cards + 6 games of choice and 3 consoles of choice (2 Xbox 1's and 1 Nintendo switch) - to not that many people watching so the odds have been pretty insane.

The rules of the show describe it pretty well, just today he's given out 3 Fortnite codes and two 20$ Gift Cards

Highly recommend checking it out - He's a good dude and the streamer he picked as the first contestant seems to also be well liked.

Here’s a breakdown on all of the Rules highlighted in the video above as well as some additional points not mentioned in the video:
– A contestant is chosen from applications we receive from viewers.
– The contestant stays on site at our stream location for the full duration of their “season”, which is six weeks.
– The full season framework will be decided using a start-of-season ritual we’ve designed, and it will determine a) the consoles used for each Tier (which are the levels of progression for the contestant), b) the method by which the games for each Tier will be chosen, and c) the bonus variant “Red Cards” for the Tier, which are modifier cards that add extra rules and variations to the rules of the game.
– Each day (Tues – Sun, 11AM PST – 7PM PST) the contestant competes against game challenges designed by both the Consolitude staff and viewers at home. At the beginning of each episode, the Consolitude Host, Daymeeuhn, will explain the game challenges in question for the day and inform the contestant of all available prizes on the table for successful completion of said challenges. The contestant only has that particular day to work on the given challenges, unless game variables encountered during the season allow for other possibilities.
– Whenever the contestant defeats a game challenge, they will a) earn Tier Points towards defeating the current Tier, b) earn a prize for themselves that can take many forms, and c) unlock a Prize Drop raffle to be held for the viewers at home. Tier Point requirements for each progressive Tier will be explained at the start of each season.
– Viewers will have the opportunity to enter the Prize Drop raffle by converting their Consollar points in to raffle tickets, utilizing bot commands in the Twitch chat. The command for entering the raffle is !raffle X, where X is the number of Consollar points they’d like to convert. Consollars are converted to tickets in a 1:1 ratio.
– Consollars are earned by viewers simply by watching the show. Every 5 minutes of viewership equates to one (1) earned Consollar. Subscribers to the show will earn additional Consollars for viewing, as determined by the Subscription level. The contestant also earns Consollars through various methods, most of which will be viewer Subscriptions and game challenge prizes. The contestant can use their Consollars to unlock various perks and bonuses during their season.
– The contestant enters their season with essentially nothing. The supplies they will use for their six week stay primarily come from two sources: prizes won from daily game challenges, and “Gift Drops” sent in from viewers.
– Gift Drops are supplies and gifts sent in by viewers using donations. Viewers can choose various items using the contestant’s primary wishlist, which contains items chosen by the contestant at the start of their season, or they can create their own unique Gift Drops and send in whatever they’d like – as long as it is within the budget limits of the Gift Drop Donation they’ve sent in.
– Gift Drops will be sent in to the contestant’s room during specified times during the day. Gift Master Ashleigh will highlight the Gift Drops in a quick video for the audience before sending them in.
– Viewers can also aid the contestant by sending in Hints and Tips utilizing Micro Donations, which are smaller scale donations ranging in the dollar or two range. These Micro Donations will be monitored by the daily host on a regular basis, and will be used accordingly to assist the contestant in their daily game challenges. This is the ONLY source of information the contestant has, as they do not have access to the internet in any way.
– If the contestant is able to defeat all five of the Tier levels of their season, they will unlock the final bonus round, known as the Impossible Tier. This special Tier has rules all to itself and will only be explained in full live on stream if and when a contestant ever manages to reach it.
