Steam Connect added

I'm happy to announce that we have added support for Steam Connect!

• New members will be able to log into EpicNPC by using their Steam account instead, making the registration process that much faster.
• Existing members can now link their EpicNPC account's to their Steam account's to verify ownership of the Steam account during Steam account sales and trades.

Those that decide to link to their Steam account and anyone using Steam to log into EpicNPC will also have a mini-Steam profile appear in the top right of all their posts.

Members who link to their Steam profile will automatically have their Steam avatar used for EpicNPC as well.

How do I link my Steam account?

• Go to Setting > Steam Account link

Very smart for all those who trade in games? I like the idee Mike but where are your brains? People on the site trade in mostly illegal goods ingames and accounts. By linking your steam account in posts you are telling all game devs you are a actual seller or buyer of goods? Why the heck would you introduce something like this?

Warn people about the dangers of adding your steam profile to a site like epicnpc!

This is for Steam users only. There's no reason to link your Steam account if you're not trading items or games which is not against the TOS for Steam. There's dozens of sites for Steam item, card and game trading all that use Steam Connect.

If you're buying/selling your entire Steam account, then yes, you might not want to connect to it, however for all steam trades, it's very useful.

There's also no risk if you're selling non-steam accounts and just want to link to your Steam account. Someone selling WoW accounts and connects to their Steam has no risk, Blizzard doesn't care what people are doing with their Steam accounts and vise versa.

Not for Epicnpc only, even a lot for other trading/selling sites that are exclusive for steam games only which steam link is exposed already & people buy/sell for paypal or outside for steam trading window which is illegal or against the TOS. Some of them were banned by those pathetic kids just want to ruin someone's account only by massive reporting against 1 victim. So I prefer to give my steam link only to those who really wants to buy a game & to have privacy from those random add on steam giving phishing link for trying to steal your items in inventory which i encounter so many times & i was dumb one time but glad he didnt succeed.

That's why any experienced trader has more than one account to prevent him from being trade banned, because you never know who you're dealing with. So there shouldn't be any problem with linking a trading account to the site and making it easier to communicate.

Lots of mmorpg's these days connect threw steam. Linking accounts around is not a wise descision in my books. Anyway everyone does what they desire i just think you should place a warning on it. So in the end people don't come complaining and saying they tought it was absolutly safe.

But then again that is your descision aswell.

I actually tried registering to this site using my steam account, but it didn't work :/ It gave me an error saying that I left something blank, but I tried it multiple times, and it gave me same error each and every time. I signed up using the username way though

Go to Steam Connect in your Settings profile and unlink it.
